7 JULY 2025: The Great Australian Charity Cattle Drive camped at ACC’s Gladys Downs homestead two nights ago, hosted by our CEO Anthony Lee and his family.

The boss has spent the past week volunteering as rouseabout for the mob which is currently 18km south of Augathella. They are 29 days from Roma, aiming for a final yard-up day on August 6.

ACC has provided 700 of the 2000 cattle for the iconic outback Queensland charity cattle drive from Longreach to Roma.

Brisbane’s Centenary Rotary Club is backing food charity Beefbank in this epic drove, covering 775km over 87 days and raising funds to provide protein meals to needy Australians. https://youtu.be/N87EpTThwmk

Beefbank Operations Manager Chris Nott reports: “The weather has been kind, however we have had minus figures most mornings which then turn into magnificent days. Campfires with morning porridge and a cup of tea certainly help the iced fingers! Feed for the cattle has been beyond expectations. The cattle have been blessed with more food than they can consume and are very contented.”
