EFFECTIVE 1 December 2021, Australian Country Choice (ACC) requires all visitors to the Cannon Hill site to be fully-vaccinated for COVID-19.

From 14 December 2021, the same conditions will apply to all other ACC properties and offices throughout rural Queensland.

Visitors must provide evidence (either an official vaccination card, a COVID-19 digital certificate via the Medicare app, or proof of medical exemption).

Medical exemption will only be accepted with a certificate from a duly qualified registered medical practitioner detailing reasons for the exemption.  Subject to the holder’s consent, ACC will contact the issuing medical practitioner to verify the document’s authenticity.  “We thank you for your assistance in helping us care for our staff, our communities and our business,” said CEO Anthony Lee.

“We are committed to protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, suppliers, customers and the communities we live and work in.”

ACC’s commitment to workplace wellbeing is reflected in being recently awarded winner in two categories in the Queensland Government’s Safe Work and Return to Work Awards. The company was awarded in the categories of ‘best demonstrated leadership in work health and safety’ and ‘best response to the COVID-19 pandemic in work health and safety’ by the Office of Industrial Relations.
